As we all know, Membership Meetings have been cancelled due to COVID-19 since March 2020. The Executive Board discussed and decided to put the E-Board minutes on our website under the "Members Only" section for members to review. The Department of Consumer Protection has sent out notification regarding renewing your electrical licenses.
Please be advised that the Governor has extended the deadline for taking the 4-Hour Continuing Education Class to December 31, 2020 rather than September 2020.
When you receive your renewal notice, please go ahead and send in your payment to renew.
The CSCU Foundation is again offering the Ted Martocchio Scholarship to children of Building Trades members. The scholarship is available to those applying to Central, Eastern, Southern and Western Connecticut colleges. Please note that the deadline is August 13, 2020.

The Membership Meeting scheduled for January 27, 2021 has ben cancelled. This is being done in accordance with Connecticut State guidelines.
Please note that there is a $1,000.00 scholarship available from the Connecticut State College University Foundation. The scholarship was created in 2000 in memory of Ted. It is available only to children of a Connecticut State Building Trades member. It is only available for attendance at Eastern, Western, Southern, or Central State Universities. The deadline for applications is May 3, 2019.
The Golf Committee has decided to cancel the Annual Local 35 I.B.E.W. Andy Weigert-Ted Martocchio Memorial Golf Tournament this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they felt it was in the best interest of all those involved to follow the recommendations to maintain social distancing. Hope to see everyone again in 2021.
